:: long weekend

thursday went past in a blink of an eye. went to the bank at Shenton with richard to get float the next two weekends. first time seeing such amount in my account, and then, in my hands. richard literally became a camel from carrying the funds back to the office. i carried his army bag up to the office when we reached the building.

the heavy weight of the bag felt like so much like a BURDEN on me; on my shoulders.

maybe this is how we should all feel toward our friends, our family, our relatives, our members, our leaders.

although the Bible commented that we should lift up all our burdens to the Lord. but many a times, how many of us even have a burden on our shoulders to begin with?

these few days, i have been praying for God to break my heart. toward reaching out. toward loving people. toward work. toward a lot of things.

and thursday, after work, went to cell group with val and jj at val's house. i don't know if it was the house, or what, but i could feel that He is beginning to break me. it was a wonderful feeling. because i felt burdened - for the people around me.

we had a prayer meeting and though slight fear crept up to me when it comes to corporate prayer, but eventually, stepping out in faith, being led by the spirit, i felt that those prayers that i made, was from the bottom of my heart. the HS was praying through me, and it was a good feeling. :)

friday went through in a breeze too. was late for work because i had to dug up my formal clothes - it has been AGES since i last wore formal, but then naomi said that the meeting was #1 formal, so i dug up my white anti-crumpling shirt, and knee length pants with my wedges. i felt quite formal, and in a cab with richard, he had the cheek to say, "formal meh?" -_-

i felt so restrained in a shirt lor!

boss joked that the reason i dressed sharp on friday was because i am going to fish golden turtles at BBG. -_-

left the office at 4pm to head to Raffles Hotel to set up the gallery for the meeting later. and it was work work work all the way till the meeting starts. sitting in a BBG meeting was awesome; and hearing from the awesome man of God never failed to explode my mind, what's more, it's my FAVORITE phil pringle!

after the meeting, it was work work work till 115am. we had to pack up, dissemble the frame, and keep all the paintings, and books, and everything.

i was VERY PROUD of myself, and naomi and the team of 2 girls and one guy. i usually would leave heavy chores and complicated chores such as dissembling the frame, and packing the poles to the guys like richard, or yoseph. but richard was happily cabbing back from tampines, and yoseph's in indonesia, so there is no guy to help to take the things down.

and i didn't want to attempt taking it down by myself, in case i did it the wrong way. but time forbids such thoughts, so i just took a deep breath, and starting commanding the taking down of the huge frame.

first the paintings came down, bubble-wrapped, and packed into it's boxes. then it was the poles. twist turn twist turn.

"wait wait! cherry your side must come down first! wait clarence you too fast!"

"oie! okay anot! twist the thing. faster! my side dropping!"

"eh, the middle one, waiting for your side to come down leh!"

"wait!! too fast! AHHHH!"

"carol you pull the cloth away!"

"AHHHH!!"

*clang!*

*BOOM*

"YAY! all down now!"

"sylvia! pull the thing!"

"eh? need allen key!"

*frantic search for the key in all sorts of places*

"found it! nah!"

*twist twist unscrew, pull, twist twist, unscrew, pull*

i'm so proud that 3 Cs - Carol Clarence Cherry and 1 S - Sylvia managed to pull the whole thing off. :)

Oh! That makes up 'CS'. Is that my calling or what? -_-

after packing everything up, albert came to help us with delivery and sending of goods back to the office.

went back to the office with naomi to close the sales for the night. naomi left with her husband at around 1am, and i tidied my table a little, and even though we were starving, richard and i decided to just head home. i was dead beat, i had a quick shower, didn't bother to wash my hair, plonked on the bed and it was lala-land till next morning.

tonight and tomorrow morning will be another round of work. hopefully Phil Pringle will walk past and i get to slap high five with him again this time. :)
