hello guys, sorry that i haven't been blogging. i won't use 'no time', 'too busy' as an excuse, but rather, poor time management. let me just update you on what's happened this week! :)

monday

i took leave and went to take my BTT, and i flunked it! YAY! don't know why i so happy also, mad one. i went back to the office after test to print some documents for meeting later with lao da, edmund and cherry.

man, on leave still got to go back office. had a pleasant surprise when i went in, i saw BK and R working on the wires near the main doors. was asking BK what was he doing there, and i think i didn't manage to get something out of him anyway, except that both BK and R were like having super duper fun teasing me over my failure for BTT.

BK was proclaiming loudly, "YOU FAIL?? YOU LIKE THAT ALSO FAIL??"

i felt slightly paiseh because he made it sound as though he passed the first time, but turned out, later when he confessed, that he flunked 3 times.

WAH PIANG, i almost threw my shoe at him lah. anyhow one leh. now must see R, he also say until he very pro. this person, must see when he take his BTT, see he pass anot. never pass, will get it from me.

meeting with lao da and the rest was good as we discussed CS matters. was given an important task to accomplish within the next 4 months. i believe i can do it. :)

tuesday

left the office earlier than usual to have farewell dinner with my thailand relatives. man, my grand-uncle whom i last saw in thailand 2 years ago has grown so big and tall and cute. :) can't believe a four year old kid (and a 1 year old baby) are my grand-uncles.

wednesday and thursday passed by in a breeze, and friday came! was excited to go to lilian's house. lilian has been like a legendary figure in the church. she's like so anointed, spiritual, and having raised the dead before, all talks about her are nothing but of excitement, awe, and admiration, and envy.

so her house blew me away, and i shall not elaborate because i'm too lazy. but one sentence is enough to blow some of you away.

cell group was good. met some familiar faces, alright, only one. orange. and then intro-ed myself to one or two of the other group.

the meeting was simple, but good, and i had a good time. :)

saturday and sunday came and went in a breeze too.

as i reached expo at about 3pm on saturday, the moment i stepped in, was greeted by a long queue of sot students purchasing their books. went and said hi to aaron before going to find morgan, and ended up helping him with cashiering.

i think i like cashiering, but i had a hard time swiping the cards. morgan kept saying i did not swipe it deep enough. so half of the NETS transaction, he has to help me swipe the card. perhaps it's my angle? i don't know.

but then, it's still fun! :)

and service with dr kim was good. though initially i couldn't quite catch her because her english wasn't very fluent, and the mic was soft, but i strain to hear her and think that her message, albeit simple, is really good.

i'm so proud of myself for not falling asleep despite being tired.

indeed, when the love for God is there, you'd do anything to keep yourself awake. absolutely cannot stand people who come late and then fall asleep during service. then go home sleep lah! haha. but thank God, these are minorities. :)

so after sat svc, bumped into alex, and he just had to intro me to taka's church member! was so paiseh as i run to small val and was like, "TAKA'S FRIEND!!!"

and she and mich were like, "wah, last year taka not enough, this year want another one ah..."

come on lor, people insist of introducing me to that person, i don't wanna run away lor. feel so weird though. wahahhaa~

went and had dinner with the gang and roy. and roy is so cool to join us, and we had a great time debating over waffles and spaghetti.

to those who don't know, i was reading a book titled:

"women are like spaghetti, men are like waffles"

and it went on to explain:

waffles are made up of squares, and men, are like waffles because they cannot multitask. so when they are on one topic (inside one of the square), they cannot really concentrate on other topics (jump to other squares).

and so, to get them to change topic, u need them to move to another square, and then they have to stop talking about the previous topic (square).

whilst women are like spaghetti, because the noodles are intertwined, interlinked. showing that women's train of thoughts are all connected. they can talk about alot of topic at one go, linking one to another.

example:

bob: did u see david's new car?

john: yes! it was so cool!

b: heard that it's his 3rd car, and he's saving to get another one for his wife.

j: which model is he intending to get?

(all abt cars)

sally walked up.

s: hey guys what are you guys talking about?

b: david's car. he got a new one.

j: yeah, that's his 3rd car.

s: oh really?

b: we're talking on which model he's gotten.

s: oh.

b and j continues and sally left uninterested.

sally talks to connie.

s: did you heard about d's new car?

c: yes, i heard he spent 20 thousand on it.

s: really? where did he get the money from?

c: i think some investments, together with his wife's shop.

s: what's his wife working as?

c: accountant in a firm, don't you remember?

s: oh yes! i do! have you heard? her secretary got caught having an affair with the married colleague.

c: oh dear! so what's she going to do?

s: i think they are splitting up. the man still wants to be with wife.

(changes topic very fast)

not trying to say women gossip and whatnots, but just that they tend to link up alot of stories though the starting might not be the same topic!

so ANYWAY, had a fun time saying alex is a waffle because he simply (and proven!) that he cannot multi-task!

he will be sms-ing someone, and i will ask, "alex, wanna go foodcourt?"

and he ignores me, and continue typing on his phone, and after he sent the message, gave me an innocent look and say, "What were you saying?"

haha, but he's pure fun lah. :)

on a side note:

it's amazing how people react when a favor is asked.

"sorry i don't have time."
"sorry i don't have money."

"sorry i can't."

but how many underlying tones actually meant, "i can't be bothered."?

i have my weakness and my laziness too. sometimes i feel the same way - of just being too lazy to help someone do something. i am not a perfect person who helps any tom, dick, and toothless harry who comes along the way, rain or shine.

so right now, especially after last night, i need to be more pro-active.

i have so much more good habits and attitudes i need to learn and master. i have many things that i want to do to show people that i love them. i want to tell them i love them and need them in my life.

helping out in cg is great. helping out in cs is great too. but i am not satisfied. i want more. i dont want to live my life everyday so normal and so mundane. i want to live through my life knowing that everyday i have touched someone. :)

so! those of you who have been lazy in displaying your love and care, start expressing them now! and i don't mean to the ones you love. but to the ones who are difficult to love too!

you never know how big a star they might become in your life! =)

what i've learnt through these 2 days of hearing from the first lady of the world largest church, is that, loving God and walking with Him is a very very simple thing.

but it is so simple, it is hard to master.

and that is, just trust in Him in EVERY SINGLE LITTLE thing. love Him, pray, and communicate with Him over every area of your life.

like dr kim, she even asked for wisdom when shopping! so she gets the cheapest, best stuffs.

and really, God is found not in the magnificent stuffs, like in the Bible it said, He's not found in the great thunderstorm, or the mighty rushing wind, or the fire, but He's found in the most simple method - a soft whisper.

in the ever fast pace in Singapore, sometimes we just got to quieten our hearts, and hear from God.

i envy those country-side lifestyle, where i am able to lie on a hammock by the beach and read a book and simply love God. :)

shoutout to michelle and sherylyn! thanks for hearing me complain so much today! thanks sher for saying i'm a cynical person and bringing me back to reality. HAHAHAHAHA.

we're all not perfect, and thus, after complaining, really do some soul-searching and make sure you are not like those you complained about.

remember what i said about beyond reproach? =)
