you guys must be wondering why this picture. because i am literally going to do likewise! :D

my old telly has decided to announce its retirement by the constant coughing and sneezing - it flashes non stop when you start up - and sometimes refuses to wake up nor go to bed.

so with an old and stubborn and irritating telly, we decided to thrash it, and get a new one! so my brother, mum and i walked around tampines to search for a new one. and i almost just died there when my mom kept looking at old-no-one-uses-it-anymore BOX TELLY!

i kept edging myself to the high tech, high res LCD flat screen, while my mom sniff around for box screen. my brother got torn in between us, and just stood and watch.

finally, he managed to persuade my mom that no one uses box telly now because it's old, and the resolution is so bad, and that we might as well get a good one since we are getting a NEW one. no point getting a lousy one to have it crash 1 year later. (i did not insist on getting LCD hor! but it's true what. it IS better!)

so! i really like one that i saw, a black sony flat screen with 800:1 ratio res, but then it was a little high for our budget. though it's bigger screen than our current 21" one. about 25" for $999? can't really remember.

my brother heard that carrefour was having sales, so he went over when we couldnt settle for any at tampines. and guess what?

he bought a $1000++ 32" telly.

i almost fainted.

he rejected $999 black sony flat screen, saying it's too ex, and bought a $1000++ 32"? and i think it's sony too.

i am VERY HAPPY about the new telly, but i think we're gonna survive on bread and water the next 1 year. :(

well, can't wait for the new screen to come! do we even have space? :D

3 more days to 32"!
