this morning boss called for a meeting.

im always very impressed by boss because whenever valerie talks about him to me, i have an impression that he really inspires valerie alot. even though his status with her is boss and subordinate.

now i know why she is very inspired by him. because he is really an inspiring man, his meetings is not really just to talk about the work scope, the problems arising, and requiring solutions. but he is always ready to inspire and challenge us, to bring us into a whole new realm where we no longer is confined within a box, limited and restrained.

his words, backed up with the WOG, really challenges me to think beyond where i have always seen myself at.

he wants us to plan, for the end of the year, for year 2008, and not a short term plan, but a plan, that you know you can achieve, and also stretches your capacity.

he said that he read an article that says, only 20% of staffs in a company, are contributing to the company.

what happened to the other 80%?

what are the people thinking of when they work anyway?

just to draw a salary, have a steady rice bowl, and that's it?

or finding fulfillment in your job, and treating it with passion, and not a chore to work from 9-6. seeing your goals at work being achieved one by one - shouldn't that be your greatest satisfaction?

ever since i started working at attributes, i've forgotten about waiting for time to pass, waiting for 7pm to come - the time for me to knock off. it is not that i have a million of things to do. but seeing the rest working hard, i dont wanna appear slack too. appearing on the dot at 10am, and leaving on the dot at 7pm.

but so often, i get so carried away doing what i'm doing, and 7pm just come and i'll knock off, as soon as i'm done. but most of the time, it's about 8+ before i finally left.

but maybe once you see yourself, doing beyond a JOB, a WORK, you actually will enjoy going to work, and working. :)
