since my colleague cum new found friend, aka matthew, had written about me (and im flattered), i shall withdraw from my scaredy-cat-dunno-who-will-stumble-by-my-blog syndrome and write back about him too! =)

matthew is my colleague at SNEF and somehow, one way or another, we managed to strike a conversation, i seriously can't remember how, and i am supposed to have good memory! man, sherylyn soh, TAKE YOUR STM AWAY!

yes, so back to the story, so, yes, one way or another, we managed to hit off well, and within weeks, we are like super close friends who will sit near one another and speak in hush tones about things that cannot be said loudly, and when we could, we would laugh and talk loudly, but not so loud though.

matthew commented that im peculiar because of the uninterested look i had on my face on my first day of work.

tt's rather weird. i mean, i WAS interested, but i just felt awkward because it was the first-day-blues and everything felt new and unfamiliar. so as distant as i felt, i displayed it. haha. and i remembered matthew said to me one day that on my first day, i had this BLACK FACE on throughout, as if someone owed me money.

i really wished someone owed me money because i lack money. =(

so anyway, im used to people having wrong impression of me during the first-impressions kind of things.

i remembered in poly days, i was shunned from the whole class because of my peculiar attitude i guess? but well, things got better after a year and i got closer with my class and i'm glad because now we still hang out once in a while.

i really miss f402. A LOT. every single one. yes, even haffiz. haha!

because i came to a realization long time ago, that FRIENDS are the ones that will accompany you throughout your life.

not money.

not fame.

not monetary matters.

but seriously, friends.

so, im glad that i have matthew in SNEF. i think i would have really 'died' if i don't have any friends in the company. work will be so BORING with a extra capitalized 'B'!

so anyway, i really enjoy talking with matthew because he knows things WHICH I DONT KNOW (private joke), and we can talk about alot of things. from work, to church, to food, to music, to i don't know what else.

i remembered he was on 2 days MC once, and i saw this quite funny Garfield comic on papers, and i cut it out for him. i hoped it cheered him up because sickness and workload just don't have a very pleasant result on one, so he really looked quite stressed, and i think Garfield could have cheered him up a little. =)

hey, matthew, you are peculiar also okay? this is my first time hearing a 27 yr old guy saying that his childhood dream was to be a carebear floating in the sky!

but honestly, having you in the company really brightens my time there and i am also very sad to leave, but oh well, like what you said, we can always catch up! =D

oh, i will miss uncle wilson also.

this uncle really cracks me up, and HONESTLY, i have NEVER seen a cooler uncle than wilson. at his age, holding elmo and cookie monster puppets and shaking his body to the Dragostea Din Tei tune. (i mean, yes, a little lame, and corny, but seriously, he is quite cool!)

le sigh.

maybe one day, when we are not tied down with our workload, we can all hang out together. =)
